Gbanga is a virtual world connected to real-world locations. Access to Gbanga's virtual world is via your mobile phone, which you carry around whilst going about your daily life. When your physical location changes, so does the virtual world of Gbanga. By walking around your city you, likewise, move between areas of Gbanga, exploring new places, discovering cool items, meeting other players and... Gbangoos. Because it adds fun to your world! Interact with Gbanga’s virtual world when waiting for a bus, or walking in town. You can see the location of friends and nearby players, play quests and win cool prizes. Every place you visit is full of interesting things to do because Gbanga makes socialising on-the-go fun and easy, so you'll likely meet new people and share experiences.
Gbanga is entirely free to download and play! All you need is a mobile phone with working Internet connection. Please refer to your service providers terms and costs for mobile Internet access.
It's easy! Start Gbanga on your phone and walk somewhere! Every Gbanga location is connected to an area of the world. For example, if traveling between home and work you can discover new Gbanga locations at every stop. The name and flag of each location is displayed on your screen.
Go to POCKET Mode where you’ll find a Gbangoo character. Use this Gbangoo to take-over Mafia establishments from rival Famiglia’s anywhere in the world. Your Mafia Famiglia will become more powerful the more establishments you take-over and special items you collect. The most powerful Famiglia’s are listed on the world leaderboard.
After finding a Mafia establishment to take-over in any given Cell, go to POCKET Mode → select your Mafia Gbangoo → tap Drop. Your Mafia Gbangoo will then do the hard work whilst keeping you updated on what's happening. You can check the result of a take-over by looking at an establishment's description in Actions → About to see if the owner is now your Famiglia Boss. If not, this means the take-over failed. Try again after 10 minutes or collect more special items and invite friends to increase your Famiglia’s power.
You can add new friends simply by launching Gbanga on your phone, go to Friends Mode → Add New Friend. Type their username, phone number or e-mail address to send an invitation. If you want to meet new people whilst playing Gbanga, just look for Gbangoos and they will tell you the name of their owner. Check out the YouTube video about adding friends.
Gbangoos are creatures, which live in Gbanga's virtual world. You can carry Gbangoos in Gbanga’s POCKET Mode or drop them into the virtual world to perform various tasks.
No problem! Just trade a valuable item (gold, ring etc.) with your Famiglia Boss to receive a new Famiglia Gbangoo!
Simply travel the world and go where nobody else has gone before! If you're the first person to visit a part of Gbanga's virtual world, known as a Cell, you can give it a name and create your very own flag. Note that discovering new Cell's doesn't mean you automatically become the owner of any Mafia establishments located there.
Unfortunately Gbanga is only compatible with certain mobile phones. We are working to support a wider range of models so please check our updates to see if your phone has been added.

Yes, the application needs you to accept the permissions in order to connect to the Internet before you can start playing Gbanga.
GPS may take 2-3 minutes to start so your position on the map will rely on GSM antennas after logging in. You'll have to wait a short while until the GPS system kicks in.
Check the 'Applications' or 'Games' section of your phone. Gbanga should be located there if it was installed correctly.
On your mobile, go to CELL Mode → click the top right button → choose About and → Rate Item. You can also add a comment here.
To trade an item, tap on a player from FRIENDS Mode from within the Gbanga app. Click on the top right button and → choose Give/Trade. In the first phase, select the items from your Pocket that you want to offer your trading partner. In the second phase, select the items from your trading partner, which you would like to receive. After sending the trade offer, the other player can either accept or decline your trade request.
Collecting items is a major part of the fun in Gbanga. If you find a collectible item in a Cell, click on it and select Collect to pick it up. It will then be saved to your POCKET Mode until traded or you drop it somewhere else.
Chatting with your friends and leaving messages at different locations is fun and easy in Gbanga. A Gbanga Shout is like broadcasting a chat message to a remote location within the Gbanga world. In Cell Mode on your mobile, you can click the top right button, followed by Shout to the Cell. Once sent, the message will be visible to other visitors of that location. You can also see the messages of other players in CELL Mode.
